United States Conference of Catholic Bishops The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) is an assembly of the hierarchy of the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands who jointly exercise certain pastoral functions on behalf of the Christian faithful of the United States. The purpose of the Conference is to promote the greater good which the Church offers humankind, especially through forms and programs of the apostolate fittingly adapted to the circumstances of time and place. This purpose is drawn from the universal Church and applies to the episcopal conferences which are established  all over the world for the same purpose.

The Unforgettables Foundation The mission of the Unforgettables Foundation is to enable low-income families to give their children a dignified burial; to empower communities to memorialize children who have died; to educate parents and children's caregivers to confront, control and conquer the primary risks to our children's health and wholeness; and to encourage communities to recognize the financial trauma which is often associated with the death of a child.

Catholic Cemetery Conference The purpose of the Catholic Cemetery Conference is declared to do whatever is necessary, proper and desirable toward achievement of the following objectives with relation to all Roman Catholic cemeteries and their personal: To provide a forum for the discussion of, and dissemination of information concerning all phases of Catholic cemetery development, operation and maintenance. To assist Catholic cemetery personnel in the understanding and solution of their cemetery problems by the assembling of accurate information with reference thereto. To assist Catholic cemetery personnel in the continuous improvement of cemetery services in the respective Archdioceses and Dioceses served by them. To foster and promote the religious, charitable and educational interests of Catholic cemeteries and their beneficiaries in cemetery service.

2016 Catholic Holy Days of Obligation

In the Catholic Church, Holy Days of Obligation are days on which the faithful are obliged to participate in Mass (canon 1247 of the Code of Canon Law). Some feasts, e.g. Easter, are always celebrated on Sundays, so they are always obligatory. All the Days of Obligation observed in the United States are listed.
